Michael Auerbach is Founder of Subversive Capital, Chairman of Subversive Capital Acquisition Corp., and General Partner of Subversive Capital’s venture platform and Opportunity Fund. Michael is an entrepreneur, investor, business consultant, and private diplomat. He is a Senior Vice President at Albright Stonebridge Group, the global consulting firm of former secretary of state Madeleine Albright, where he has worked for the last three years. Before joining ASG, Michael created Social Risks, which provided investors with assessments of companies' social impact. Social Risks was bought out by global consulting giant Control Risks, where Michael served as a Vice President for five years. Michael began his career in the late '90s dot com bubble, founding Panopticon Inc, a VC incubator concentrating on internet and mobile technology. He has an MA in International Relations from Columbia University and BA in Critical Theory from the New School.
Michal Shtender is an interior designer, nightlife impresario, real estate investor, and venture capitalist. Michal’s focus is on big ideas that can change our health and the world for better. She is a graduate of the Parsons School of Design in New York City.
Misha Shtender is a student at the Village Community School in Manhattan. He is proficient on drums, guitar, and piano. He lends a critical youthful perspective to Subversive Capital as well as helps out with powerpoint from time to time.
Milton is a French bull dog puppy that provides much joy around the Subversive office.
Adam Rothstein is a Director of Subversive Capital Acquisition Corp. Mr. Rothstein is a co-founder and General Partner in Disruptive Technology Partners an Israeli technology focused early stage investment fund, a co-founder and General Partner in Disruptive Growth a collection of late stage investment vehicles focused on Israeli technology, a Venture Partner in Subversive Capital’s venture platform, and the Managing Member of 1007 Mountain Drive Partners. Adam has over 20 years of investment experience and has served as the Chief Investment Officer of Intana Management, a market neutral hedge fund focused on technology, media and entertainment and as a Partner of the Select Technology and Software Funds at Robeco Investment Management (the parent company of Weiss, Peck & Greer). Adam currently has over 10 Board and Board Observer seats for Disruptive, Subversive and 1007 Mountain Drive Partners in the technology, media and entertainment sectors.
Adam graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and has an MPhil in Finance from the University of Cambridge.
